Men's Group

The Men’s Group was formed in 2001 and meets monthly, generally on the third Wednesday evening of the month. The meetings are open to any of the men associated with the Church, with no membership fee and no need to attend all meetings, or even regularly.

The programme is orientated toward men’s interests, and generally consists of organised Visits, Discussions on topical matters, Speakers on a wide range of topics, a Christmas Dinner, a 5-week Men’s Lent Study Session, and a Summer Barbecue.

The programme for 2005/6 is as follows:

  • 28 September – Talk by Rev. Roger Arguile on “Visit to Poland”. 8.30pm in the Upper Room.
  • 19 October – Visit to Sikh Gurdwara at Peterborough. Leave the Vicarage at 6.00pm.
  • 16 November – Visit 1 to T.L.Cobbold – Funeral Directors. 3.00pm (maximum of 6 persons).
  • 23 November - Visit 2 to T.L.Cobbold – Funeral Directors. 3.00pm (maximum of 6 persons).
  • 12 December – Christmas Dinner - 8.00pm at The Bridge House, St Neots
  • 18 January – Talk by Rev. Bill Snelson (General Secretary of Churches Together in England) on “The Slave Trade”. 8.30pm in the Upper Room.
  • 15 February – Discussion on “World Religions & Christianity”. 8.30pm in the Upper Room.
  • 8 March to 5 April – Lent Study Sessions – 8.00pm in the Upper Room.
  • 17 May – Visit to Little Barford Power Station – Leave the Vicarage at 2.45pm.
  • 21 June – Discussion on “Technology – Good or Ill?”. 8.30pm in the Upper Room.
  • A Saturday in July – Summer Barbecue.
